Hunting bugs in the Magogs

1st July 2010

Year 4 were out in search of bugs, flowers and other signs of the countryside in summer when they spent a very warm day at Wandlebury Country Park.

There was lots of close inspection of the various insects and plants they found, and leaf sweeping with giant nets was a much a favourite activity as ever. Seeing the inside of a working bee hive was an addtional highlight.

Despite the heat, they also embarked on competitive running around a number of orienteering courses.

"It was a busy day full of hands-on learning for all," said Mrs Brown.
