Year 6 wore their new school uniforms on the last day of term10th July 2010
"Grant us peace, grant us courage" were the moving words of an African song, Amani Utupe, sung by our Year 6 leavers at the Final Assembly at the end of term.
The Assembly marked the end of a rollercoaster of excitement in the final few weeks - winning the Kwik Cricket Tournament and the North West Essex Rounders Tournament, having our Green Flag and RHS Certificate officially presented and enjoying the wonderful Year 6 play.
More end of term memoriesAs well as Sports Day there were trips to Mepal Outdoor Centre, Wicksteed Park and Wandlebury, cycle training for Year 5 and a Beach Party for Nursery and Reception.
The day before the Final Assembly, parents, pupils and staff said goodbye at a special Staff Leavers' Assembly to Miss Welham, who is going to a new school after four years at Dame B's, and Mrs Grant and Mrs James who are both retiring after 22 and 25 years (respectively) at the School.
After an uplifting Final Assembly, in which Mrs Crouch highlighted the huge contribution which the outgoing Year 6 have made to the life of the School, in so many different ways, it was time for a long rest and happy summer holidays.
