Rounders

Rounders skills begin in the Infants, where children use a bat and ball in striking games.

By Year 4, boys and girls both play the full game, using the appropriate equipment and extending their skills to play with a thin bat and hard ball.

Rounders is a real team game with a great deal of interaction between fielders and equally plenty of encouragement in the batting side. It has to be played with other team members in mind and teaches the children to respect and support each other.

In Years 4, 5 and 6, we play other schools and take part in local tournaments with great success.
