Events

There are many events, special days and visits in the Nursery, often linked to topics which the children are learning about.

Special days

Dressing up days have included a Teddy Bears' Picnic, Super Hero Day, People Who Help Us, Animal Day and Pyjama Party. We also welcome visitors like our local vet, dentist, police officers and fire service.

Shared events

Nursery and Reception share events such as the Early Years St George's Day, St Patrick's Day, St Andrew's Day, St David's Day and a Bonfire Party. The Nursery also have Music Days, Colour Experimenting Days and Number Fun Days.

Trips

Just before Christmas, we go on a trip to the Audley End Miniature Railway with parents, carers and siblings. In the Summer Term, we go to further afield, Boydells Dairy Farm being a favourite. All families are invited to join us on these special days out.

Charities

Once a year, the children take part in a children's charity event, such as a sponsored walk followed by a picnic in Saffron Walden for The Meningitis Trust and a National Bounce Day for Barnardo's.

Whole school events

Nursery also joins in whole school events such as the School's multicultural days, learning about places like Russia, Ghana, India and Japan, History Days, Science and Technology Weeks and the Art Exhibition.
