"...outstanding in every category..."Our Nursery and Reception provision (Early Years) was inspected on 4 June 2008 by Ofsted and found to be "outstanding in every category".
The inspector, who visited unannounced, said that the quality of teaching and learning, the provision, the organisation, and the leadership and management were all outstanding.
The report praised "the extremely welcoming atmosphere and caring nature of staff", adding that: "Children clearly relish their time…as they access the exceptionally broad range of developmentally-appropriate resources and activities."
The inspector commented that children develop "excellent self-esteem", making "extremely good progress towards the early learning goals". They "clearly benefit from excellent opportunities to learn from a range of specialist staff, teaching drama, thinking skills, music and French".
The inspector praised the "outstanding range of craft and creative activities" offered. The children's behaviour was described as "exemplary", and the staff's partnership with parents and carers was also "outstanding".
